The Pure Shaolin Kung Fu Academy teaches the Chinese arts of Kung Fu, Tai Chi and other physical forms that generate constructive energy for harmony of the body, the spirit and the world. In these arts, the important point is that the mind is not separate from the body. How one moves and behaves in physical ways can affect and enhance how one can build a healthy lifestyle. Pure Shaolin Kung Fu Academy was founded in 2004 with the primary focus on Northern Shaolin Kung Fu.
Today, we have grown into a sports academy with many diverse goals:

- Promoting cultural exchange between China and the United States.
- Provide the public with authentic instructors for Chinese Martial Arts classes.
- Training the Wushu teams for national and/or international competitions and serving as a resource center for our students.
- Provide educational opportunities for coaches and judges to study physical education in China.

Our mission at Pure Shao Lin Kung Fu is to have every individual experience the many benefits of martial arts. This mission is based on our core belief that the martial arts can profoundly change lives. All of students discover not only the physical benefits of the arts,but more importantly the intangible gifts of respect, discipline, confidence, integrity,and honor.
At Pure Shaolin Kung Fu, we help our students work towards attaining their goals in a pleasant environment where they can explore a wide range of wonderful movements and exercises designed to promote the well-being of the human body and spirit. We strive to stimulate our students’ potential for understanding their bodies as amazing repositories of energy by focusing our training on balance ability and physical coordination. We realize that mastering balance allows our students to adapt to and be in harmony with the myriad of people and objects they encounter in the world. A developed sense of balance gives our students powerful core strength that significantly exceeds the strength available to athletes using power solely from the individual muscles of the body. Our training also encourages students to utilize balance in all areas of their lives — intellectual pursuits with physical activity, intensity with endurance, and acting with thinking.
A dancer knows how to dance with a sword; a warrior knows how to fight with a sword; but only the master of martial arts knows how to conquer his enemy with an invisible sword: one whose tip is made of wisdom, whose edge is made of integrity, the back of humbleness, the handle of honesty, and the tassel of passion. There is much more to studying Chinese martial arts than just the pure physical training. Our program is designed to help our students access their inner strength, to build confidence and healthy self-esteem to achieve a balanced life and make positive contributions to the world around them.
